1 cup brown sugar
2 TBSP light corn syrup
1 loaf bread (soft italian works best)
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups of half and half cream
1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp orange liqueur
1/4 tsp salt
Melt butter in microwave, stir in sugar and corn syrup until smooth.
pour into 9x13 baking pan
arrange bread on top of sugar mixture, squeezing them to fit ( you may not use entire loaf)
In bowl, whisk together eggs, half and half, vanilla, orange liq. and salt.
Pour over bread.
You may let this sit in fridge overnight or cook right away. It is better if you let it sit overnight though to let the bread soak everything in.
Cook at 350 for 35-40 mins or until puffed and edges are golden. Serve right away. Enjoy! :)
